Since my 5th Grade, i am being trained for India classical music, under my Guru - Master Volvoikar.
He made my Classical base very strong. He encouraged me to learn various other indian classical instruments such as tabla and harmonium. So i learnt Indian Classical music, tabla and Harmonium in Sync. Thus making my base strong.
Why do we learn Indian Classical music. First of all, its the most ancient style of music, originating in the vedic period.
Secondly, your mind purifies as u practice it day by day. You can concentrate better on your work.
It becomes easier to grab other forms of music, if you know indian classical music.
The most important aspect of indian classical music is to grab "Swarnyaan"- Knowledge about tones. If the child is exposed to music during his early age then he can grab it very fast. So its necessary to send children at their early young age to learn Indian Classical Music.
